Concrete & Asphalt Disposal in Carbon

Concrete from Carbon goes in its own container for one reason: money. Kept clean, broken slab and asphalt go to a crushing facility and are recycled into road base at a lower rate than mixed debris at a landfill. One pallet of drywall on top reclassifies the entire load.

We cover Carbon through our Eastland County routes. There is no minimum, but a few days of notice lets us schedule it properly rather than as a special trip.

Concrete disposal work in Carbon runs on next-day delivery as standard. We cover 76435 and the rest of Eastland County, including sites in Carbon near First Baptist Church in Carbon.

Planning around distance

Carbon is about 36 miles from Stephenville, which puts it far enough out that the delivery is planned rather than improvised. Same-day is unlikely here and we would rather say so up front than promise it and miss.

What we can do is be precise about the day. Give us a date and the container will be there for it, and we will schedule the haul so your crew is not waiting on a truck at the end of the job.

Sizing this job in Carbon

We quote 10 and 15 yard containers for Carbon concrete work. If the job is bigger than about 5 tons the answer is multiple pulls, not a bigger box - a 30 yard of slab cannot legally be lifted.

What the container accepts, what the receiving facility will reject, and the full dimensions and tonnage table are on the Concrete & Asphalt Disposal guide. For Texas-specific rules on permits, disposal rates and ground conditions, see Concrete & Asphalt Disposal in Texas.

Carbon questions

Do you take rebar-reinforced slab?

Yes. Rebar inside the concrete is normal. Steel protruding above the container walls is not, because the load cannot be tarped and so cannot be hauled.

Is concrete cheaper to dispose of than mixed debris?

Per container, yes, as long as the load stays clean. Clean concrete is recycled into road base at a lower rate than mixed debris at a landfill. Adding wood or trash removes the saving entirely.

I am pouring rather than demolishing - what do I need?

Liquid washout from chutes and mixer drums needs a lined washout container, not an open roll-off. On commercial Carbon sites that is usually a stormwater permit condition. Ask for it by name.

What happens if I go over the weight limit?

Overage is billed per ton at the disposal rate for Eastland County and you get the scale ticket. We do not mark up tipping fees.
