Containers for La Mirada work, with the weight ticket that your diversion paperwork needs sent for every load.
If your La Mirada job is permitted, check whether the city wants a waste management plan with it. Many California cities apply CALGreen diversion to alterations as well as new build and hold a deposit until the tickets arrive. Ours arrive with the invoice.
Our La Mirada coverage runs across 90638 and the surrounding Los Angeles County area, taking in Biola University, Goodman Stadium and Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center. Neighbouring East Whittier, South Whittier and Buena Park are on the same routes.
California has asked for construction debris to be diverted since AB 939, and CALGreen now asks most new construction and many alterations to divert 65% of what the job produces. Cities enforce it through a waste management plan filed with the permit, often with a deposit released only once you show where the material went.
The weight ticket from the receiving facility is that evidence, so we send one for every load whether you ask or not. It also changes how to order: a separated load of clean concrete, clean wood or metal is credited at a far higher rate than a mixed box, so on a job that has to hit a number, two containers usually beat one.
A good number of cities in this part of California franchise construction and demolition collection, keep a permitted-hauler list, or require the load to go to a named facility. Where that applies the hauler is partly the city's decision rather than yours, and a box dropped outside the arrangement becomes the customer's problem rather than a technicality.
It is also why we ask for the street address rather than just the ZIP. Two jobs a few miles apart on opposite sides of a city line can carry different rules, different receiving facilities and different paperwork, and that is worth knowing before the truck is loaded rather than after.
We deliver across La Mirada and 90638. These are the reference points customers use most when describing where a container needs to go.
Six services covering La Mirada and Los Angeles County. Each is sized on its own logic.
Four container sizes, delivered to jobsites and driveways nationwide.
Concrete goes in a dedicated container, not a mixed one.
Demolition produces mixed, heavy and awkward debris faster than any other kind of work.
Shingles are dense, so roofing containers are ordered by squares rather than by volume.
Remodel debris is mixed and mostly light, which makes these the jobs where ordering by volume works.
Cleanouts are rarely only about the debris.
Four sizes cover almost everything in La Mirada: a 10 yard for concrete, soil and other heavy debris, a 20 yard for roofing and single-room remodels, a 30 yard for whole-home renovation, and a 40 yard for commercial tear-outs. All are 8 feet wide.
The order of events is simple. We size it on the phone, deliver to La Mirada usually next day, you fill it to the rail, and we pull it or swap it when you call. The only step that catches people is the fill line.
Full dimensions, tonnage allowances and the prohibited-materials list are on the roll-off containers in La Mirada, and each debris type has its own sizing guidance.
Why the number gets kept rather than used once.
Weight is what costs money, not volume. A container of broken slab in La Mirada reaches its legal haul weight at about a third full, while the same box of cabinetry and carpet never gets close. We ask what you are throwing away first.
Disposal pricing is set by the facility that receives your load, and that varies across California. We quote La Mirada against the facility that will actually take the debris rather than an average that changes later.
A contractor running jobs in La Mirada and East Whittier, South Whittier and Buena Park should not need three haulers and three sets of terms. Same number, same terms, wherever the work is.
Dry-run fees, rejected loads, permit requirements and driveway marking are all avoidable with a two-minute conversation at booking. We would rather have that conversation than send an invoice explaining it.
It depends on the container size, the debris type and the disposal rate in Los Angeles County, which is why we do not publish one price. Tell us what you are throwing away and the ZIP and you get a firm number with the tonnage allowance in it.
You can, but it costs more. Clean concrete goes to a crushing facility at a lower rate than mixed debris at a landfill, and one pallet of drywall reclassifies the whole load. On a job with both, two containers usually cost less than one.
Not if it is set on boards. Ask for plywood under the rails and wheels when you book and the driver will place it that way at no charge. Southern heat softens concrete enough that this is worth doing.
For heavy material such as concrete, brick, soil and tile, take a 10 or 15 yard and expect it to look half empty when it is legally full. For light bulky debris such as framing, furniture and cleanout waste, order by volume and go one size up.
Overage is billed per ton at the disposal rate for Los Angeles County and you get the scale ticket. There is no markup invented on top of it. Asking for the tonnage allowance before you order is how you avoid it entirely.
Same containers, same terms, same number across Los Angeles County.
Tell us the debris type and the ZIP. We will size it, quote it with the tonnage allowance in writing, and tell you honestly whether same-day is possible.
